Also, he will issue an executive order that forces the Fed to print as much money as needed in order to bail out all the rich people that have made bad investments (banks) while screwing the middle class.

I voted for him twice.. I wish I had not.

Wow... how does that feel? And how did the marketing machine convince you to vote for him in the first (and second) place?

I pick this list. If Hillary wins, I hope she investigates anyway because I want to know WTF happened these last eight years.

Hillary is bought and paid for. It would have to be someone like Kucinich for that to happen.

I tend to agree with this sentiment. I was however impressed to hear Obama quoted as refusing to use the phrase "war on terror" as it is devised to be deliberately obfuscating and misleading. Maybe Kucinich won't be the only honest-to-a-fault type candidate next year.

if bush could conjur up a signing statement to the effect that publicizing his pardon list will amount to a violation of executive priviledge then i'm certain he would. because that list would be so long and distinguished as to bring undesireable and untimely attention to just how much damage to our country they've caused and what an embarrassment and shame it was/is to have to pardon them in the first place.

what's even more frightening than that is that the numerous neocon scum who clamor for their pardons are able to only because they themselves haven't been apprehended and convicted for perpetrating or abetting the same high crimes that their cronies got "crucified" for, of which they are all nailed to the same phony crucifex that they so deceptively bear and wield to garner the blessings of those who populate the fanatic religious right.

announcing a list of those being absolved of their crimes would amount to publishing a rogue's gallery of those many despicable and heinous politicians that have been sacrificed at the alter of the neocon gods for the glory of cheney, bush and the american "royalty" that they champion.

now who the hell would want to do that?

What else is new? Every president pardons people who are scum. Clinton pardoned a witness in the whitewater trial who refused to testify against him, Susan McDougal. I dont know how much lower it can get.

I don't use that term, because it IS a bunch of BS. You don't declare war on a stratagem of warfare, you declare war on those who declared it against us. In this case, we?ve failed miserably.

I'd say the usual suspects. Rove, Rumsfeld, etc along with maybe some of the recent senators that "resigned". The pardons will be the along the lines of the last two...they will all be turkeys in my book. I think there will be at least one shocker though, but it is hard to say who.

The only thing that I would add to this thread is that Bush cannot pardon himself.

He could try to make whatever actions that he did retroactively legal so that he cannot be held accountable for them....but he is hamstrung with the fact that he, himself could be the only one that faces jail if they investigate and find criminal behavior and he already pre-emptively pardoned the rest of the cartel.

Nope. He issues a Ford style blanket pardon to Cheney, resigns, and then Cheney returns the favor. All in mid January 09. Of course, this won't happen as whoever the incoming Pres is will just ignore the crimes of the predecessor. If Bush the Elder didn't hang for the invasion of Panama and Reagan didn't hang for the war in Nicaragua and the treasonous Iran-Contra scandal then no future Pres has a thing to worry about. The last few decades are enough to make one believe in the doctrine of Original Sin. If Ford hadn't eaten the apple, maybe Presidents wouldn't be so glib about violating laws.

your point is well taken. however, the gist of what i'm trying convey is that the number of pardons that bush would have to dole out as part of the remuneration package from pnac would be as distinguished and remarkable as how high up the ladder of the bush admin these criminals came from.
