Ignorant morons who don't know how to read probably shouldn't own a gun in the first place. Your link ONLY refers to buying from a federally licensed gun dealer. You can buy one from a private person or gun show.

I have gone to great lengths to prove what I have said is true. The gun nuts have tried to refute it with b.s. links, or links that don't apply or links that are outdated. I even effectively answered a complaint they filed with the mods.

In fact we just an instance of a 16 year old accidentally discharging a handgun and injuring another person. No charges were filed because it was an accident and the 16 was legally allowed to own the gun which he purchased from a neighbor.
Edit: Yes it was a hangun.

Oh, and technically you can conceal carry a gun at ANY age in Vermont without a permit. Yes, technically a 5 year old can. There are no concealed carry permits issued in Vermont and not one regulation prohibiting concealed carry. However, under the age of 16 there are other laws about effecively supervising your kid that can get the parents in trouble.
