Problem I have with Fandango, besides the price, is that you get a ticket, but if you were a bit late etc and the show sold out you will have the worst seats in the theater. Buy at the box office and you can ask how many seats are left, and pick a different showtime or movie if it sucks.

i hardly ever listen to reviews any more.
i go to movies that interest me at the previews, and i decide if its good or bad. there are many times that i hate a good reviewed movie, and many times i like the ones that are criticized.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am checking it out with the gf tonight as well, and I think it's going to be a pretty decent date movie. Let me know what ya'll think and I'll do the same.

I listen to reviews. A few bad reviews is expected. But if a flood of bad reviews on a movie...

I am sure there are 12 guys out there who love Basic Instincts 2 for its plot despite the review

7.5/10

Good comedy with some surprising "not-so-funny-but-more-serious" moments.

Depends on who is giving the good/bad review.

I'm to old to go to a movie I don't like just to go to the movies.

if the seats you get are too close, you can get credit to get another ticket at same price at another time.

My point is what good is fandango? Without reserved seating its worthless in practical usage.

The hot deal is to buy one of the $10 shipped 2006 Entertainment books and use the $5 for anything but first week releases.

Fandango is useful if you don't want to wait in a line to buy tickets.

The 24 screen theater in my area always has a line of 30+ people on the weekends. It is much easier to buy online, walk to a kiosk, pick up the tickets and walk into the theater.

0 time spent in line waiting.

yup...i think the cool thing about bad reviews is that it lowers my expectations and i end up liking the movie...hehe...the gf and i liked it, and actually feel like we should receive some royalties from the movie maker...it was as if we were watching our life (arguements, problems, etc) on the screen...haha...did anyone else feel the same?...hehe :)

OP,

I'll have you know that you've incited a terrible turmoil within my soul. on one hand something is offered for free, but on the other, what is being offered is the essence of unmanly. my cheap ferengi side says go, but my macho man side says no. how can I call myself an ATHDer if I voluntarily forgo something free? But is something free really worth jeopardizing my man-card? Oh what a dilemma.

But then, just when everything seemed bleak for the Ferengi, one quick move from them ended this treacherous civil war once and for all - the words Jennifer and Anniston quickly put the fierce opposition from my manly side to rest.
so.....

Im. down. and thanks OP

i liked the movie. probably wouldn't have spent full price on it. but this made me and my gf go. we both liked it. the funny parts were def. great. and the fight sounded eerily familar :p because i hated doing chores at the apartment (although the next morning i woke up to clean the house and laundry rofl). the people who say this will make you fight with your gf is plain stupid. we had a great night and enjoyed the movie. no cheesy ending (not to spoil it for anyone who's yet to watch it) as one would expect, which is a great surprise.

the part with the gay brother singing was just pure gold.

anyway, this movie beat x3 this weekend at the box office by a little. i guess the critics word didn't do squat.

Vince Vaughn is the man. I saw it for him rather than Jennifer Aniston.

I really enjoyed this movie - there were so many great laughs! VV is the man and JA is just hawt as hell... surprisingly good acting. The ending blew, but I was ok with it considering it was different than every other romantic comedy out there.

The best part of the entire film is when that dude is singin to VV at the table... talk about hilarious, he poured it on. That followed up by 2 words that come out of Vince's mouth when he's talking to Jen about her whorish sister.... classic!

i think those that are saying this movie will make you fight with your gf are the ones that haven't had that "taking for granted" conversation yet in order to understand why they "want you to want to do the dishes"...haha...in fact, maybe they're dreading watching the movie with the gf cuz it would mean that the jig is up...haha :p

i liked how the gay brother owned VV in the bedroom...haha...no pun intended...err...yea... :)...and i like how the movie ended :)

I don't know why people hate the ending. It's different and more realistic than most romantic comedy movie endings.
