This is now officially my favorite movie. The first Bourne movies were amazing, but this one is just SO much better. I am definitely going to be seeing this movie again in the theaters.

Good movie but the shaky cam got really annoying and after leaving the theater i felt like i had just seen one long chase scene.

there's been no mention of the 2 "controversial" aspects of the movie: the timeline that intertwines with the Bourne Supremacy and Bourne's (possible) previous relationship with Nicky Parsons.
SPOILER ALERT

Yes from my readings at IMDB, it is generally accepted that the phone call scene with Bourne looking into Landy's office they are they are suppose to be the exact same scene but with the contunity messed up ( phone vibrates in 3rd one, rings in second; its summer'ish in 3rd one, winter'ish in 2nd one; etc. ). Thus most of the movie takes place before the ending of the 2nd. However those big time errors/flaws leave the window open for it being 2 separate scenes.

If I remember correctly, in the 3rd movie when he was in NYC, it was winter time as well. It even said Enero on the calendar in Madrid.

Ohhh and as I expected, there was Moby playing right at the end of the movie and now that song (after watching all three) is stuck in my head.

Good movie though!

he got it backwards, its summerish in Supremacy (the 2nd movie) where you see leaves on the trees still and winterish in Ultimatum (3rd movie) where there is snow and ice on the ground. However, while the 2nd movie ends with that scene, we only see him walking away and it appears to be summerish, but when we see him walking away it might not have been after that scene...

At any rate, they just tried to tie the two movies together as well as possible...each of the first two movies ended in a way where that could have been the end of the Bourne movies and that made it tough when 2 and 3 otherwise would fit together extremely well

I am sorry guys but I don't buy this at all. They were 2 completely difference scenes. I mean there were completely different people in the office with Landry. Not to mention, we already know this is 6 weeks after the 2nd one had ended (from the way they tied the 2nd one into the beginning of the 3rd film). Also the continuity shows you that it's not the same scene because it's 2 completely different seasons.

I think the whole thing behind it was that this time we understood that they were trying to talk code to eachother. Also in the 2nd one, Landry is trying to take Bourne down, whereas in the 3rd one, she's trying to help him.

while they may have been different scenes in the technical aspect, but it's meant to be a continuation from the 2nd. in the end of the supremacy, landy was not trying to take bourne down. if you had just saw supremacy, you would have thought landy was just giving him some information. but after seeing ultimatum, you would then know that they are trying to talk in codes. it's the same scene!

Actually I think they are suppsoed ot be the same scene. I watched the second movie again this past weekend and if I remember correctly, Landy is alone in her office in both scenes.

Also, she tells him the same birthday in both scenes which is meant to be a code, 4-15-71.

Finally saw it yesterday evening after having been out of country for a month.

Although similar in format and style to the previous two movies, I enjoyed it a lot. I just think Jason Bourne is a smart bad ass, and I love watching him magically think through a situation to avoid detection, etc. As much as I would like a fourth movie, I think this was the last one. I think he learned everything he needed to know about himself.

***Maybe Spoilerish***

But should there be another movie, maybe they will call it the "Bourne Romance" featuring Jason's retirement, rediscovery of his pre-military self, find his parents, and re-ignite his romance with Nicky Parson, punch out a few kids, and then defend his family against the CIA/NSA, etc. Sounds like a plot, yes?

I think there is this desire from the audience to see this handsome, smart killing machine, who seems to regret his actions, shed his warrior self and rediscover who he was before being programmed by the government. Because in the end, Jason Bourne is a nice, romantic guy who just wants to love and let live.

And yes, I think the movie did refer to some sort of romance between Jason and Nicky.

Edit: Yes, shaky camera is there, but I tolerated it.

I read the first book and then just saw Ultimatum after seeing the previous movies when they came out. I liked the first one, wasn't such a fan of the second, and really liked the third one.

The shaky cam annoyed me in the second one, but after I came to the conclusion that it was an intentional stylistic thing done to get the viewer involved in the chaos of the fight scenes, I allowed myself to enjoy it for the fight scenes of the third movie. It did kind of get to me in some other times though, like the cafe meeting right at the start with the reporter where you're looking over his shoulder at his contact and see just his eyes... the camera was bobbing all over the place.
