Read the books, they are 10X better than the movie.

No they aren't, the books are corny airport bookstore trash. Read Clancy for a good example of the genre.

I really liked the movie though, and I'll definitely go see the sequel.

Screw that. 100x better. I usually can't stand those smug remarks from people who say the books are better than the movies... but really folks, in this case it isn't even close. The books (idenity espescially) freakin rock. The move is "entertaining" in its own right, but the books freakin' wipe the floor with the movie. Really, really unfortunate they didn't do a more true screenplay based on the books and shouldn't have butchered it like they did.

Rarely can you make a good movie out of a book that long. It would have to be 4 or 5 hours long to try to do the book justice.

i agree that books are generally more satisfying than movies......
but i like to absorb the whole story in an hour or two rather than a a few weeks or even months

plus with books you have to like....read and stuff

LOTR 😀

I didn't realize that that there was a borne identity book. I usually try to read the book before I see the movie...ie LOTR.

Yeah, and we as a society wonder why the general population can not spell or translate a cohesive thought into written form.

To say the sequel looks good as well would imply that the first one was actually good, which wasn't the case. Screw these movies. What is the point in basing movies off a series of books when you don't even keep the basic premise of the books? It makes no sense to me. Hollywood can easily come up with sh!tty movies on their own. Why try to pass them off as someone elses sh!tty ideas when that's not the case?

*bows* 😀

I'm sorry, but read the books. You'll see what I'm talking about. It's just kind of annoying when Hollywood takes what could have been good movies and does them half ass. Then you get crappy movies and it ruins the chances of anyone else actually doing them right.
