I'm getting more and more impressed with this thing. Tax return is coming, so when is this sucker going to be available?

Last I heard, they set a release date in March-ish. I have some trouble believing that.

Am very interested in this thing, and will probably get it if it doesn't bomb.

Sign me up for a day one owner. My sources of information are not as good as they used to be, so I don't know when we can get it, but I don't doubt the March timeframe after it was reported a week or so ago that Quanta were pumping out between 100-200,000 per month as we type.

Sounds like they have the hardware down. It's just the software that needs work. Now, they can probably release a piece of shit and patch it day one, but that's pretty bad PR.

What's wrong with the software? In all of the demos it looks vastly superior to both iOS and Android.

March??? Argh.... guess I'll have to suck it up and wait... I can't see it in the specs, does it have some kind of media card port? SD or microSD?

It doesn't appear to be so, but it comes in up to 64Gb, and you can access an SD card from your phone via USB, and who knows what other options we'll have at launch. Cloud storage? With RIM's tradition of infrastructure to back up devices it's not beyond their capability.

I suppose someone could come up with a small, simple card reader that plugs into the USB port. But hopefully the finished product will come with one...
