Regardless, the OS doesn't have ads, the apps do. Don't like the apps? Uninstall them. Don't like Bing-powered search? Turn it off.
The amount of complaining people do in the Internet age is simply unprecedented.
Seriously.... people need to adapt and stop complaining so much. I get some of the Windows 8 hate but not to the extent people make out. I use classic shell and have few issues.
