At this point, every game played between Big Ten teams has been a toss up. What I'm looking for is for one of those "better" Big Ten teams (OSU/Mich/PSU) to actually man up and play to the level of their expectation.
uhh, like OSU's near perfect 38-0 game against Illinois?
And why would you think Mich is one of the "better" Big Ten teams? they were 3-9 last year. They got ranked because they beat an over hyped ND and got some national attention.
And you do know they were the underdog against MSU right? the "better" team actually won.
That's true, I didn't watch the OSU/Illinois game so I did forget about that one. I didn't really give it much though as Illinois is just terrible this year - kinda a bummer, I was hoping they'd be good. As far as much, I just mean that in the history of the Big Ten, Mich is a good team. Not really in the Rich Rod era, but as far as "good" Big Ten teams goes, Mich is usually up there. Hell, how many Big Ten titles have OSU/Mich shared? I do know that MSU was favored, but come on, MSU is pretty bad, Mich should have been able to pull that out.. in theory. All of the rankings this year are fairly absurd.. it's been a pretty good year for upsets already and it's early. All I've been saying in this entire thread, is that in NCAAF, the Big Ten is NOT one of the better of the Big 6 conferences. I don't see how you can honestly argue that. Again, I never said that NO Big Team has EVER had a good offensive/defense series. I'm just saying that the overall play of the Big Ten teams is lackluster, and that the conference is not competitive with the other Big 5 conferences.
