I liked the ending. It's funnier with Leonard and Penny being awkward around each other than it would be if they became a real couple.

Not sure why they wanted Sheldon back. He doesn't really contribute anything to the group and is a royal pain. He would be the guy that was constantly ditched.

I'd say she got some work done on them in the off season. Before, they went to great lengths to mash them together, up, whatever it took to draw attention to them.
