Just looking at both boards & wanting some opinions on which to choose & why .

Will be putting in either a 1.5 or 1.6 Pent.4

Thanks :)

I would go with the MSI Pro 5 mobo because RDRAM is faster. The only drawback to RDRAM is that it needs to installed in pairs. I think that if you are going the p4 route then you should get the best that is available and RDRAM is best. Also, I know you didn't ask, but I would go with a p4 1.7 since it is the most cost effective p4, its not much more than the 1.5/1.6.

I have the MSi pro 5, its a great board.

I'll be ordering from NewEgg .............. What brand of RDRam should I choose ? (not going to OC but would like some good stable , non problematic ram that is 100% compatible with this 850 MB)

CORSAIR MEMORY, INC. , KINGSTON TECHNOLOGY , SAMSUNG , SIMPLE TECHNOLOGIES , SMART MODULAR TECHNOLOGIES ???
(sorry for the caps , I copied & pasted from NewEgg's site)
I was looking at ordering from Mushkin but for me to get that ram would cost me $149. + 17COD = $166. for 256mb x2 = $332.

Also would like to do this in a 2x256 configuration since I have to install the ram in pairs .

(edit : I read in Maximum PC that you may need "continuity Rimms" . They say that these terminators must be installed with each Rimm so that the circuit is completed) Will I need these with this MB ?

Thanks :)
