Hey all, I'm an owner of a music discussion forum and am currently looking to start hosting user submitted reviews and lessons. is there a web-based software platform I can use for that? like a content management system but with user-submitted materials. any help would be appreciated

thanks!

If it's exclusively reviews, best options is to mod a forum install like vB, phpBB, ikonboard, etc (not familiar with the latest forum software) or use a CMS that specializes in article publishing, like WordPress or Joomla, and then set up categories.

i already have a forum... www.theopenjam.net

I was thinking of using the forum to let people post reviews, but i want to make it look more professional, and from my expereience, CMSs aren't powerful enough for people to post reviews or articles.

Your experience is wrong. Take a look at Drupal or Joomla. Wordpress is NOT a CMS, no matter how hard people try to make it into one. It was never built with that purpose in mind. Fully-fledged CMS's are much better solutions.
