Red Wings get the nod over the Avs due to better goaltending. Avs get a slight edge in offense, Wings get a significant edge in defense. But goaltending is what matters.
Tampa Bay is the team to beat again. An even tougher defense will give them a great chance to repeat.
Braves and Yankees are a wash. Braves would get the edge if they had one more than 1 championship in the past 12 years. Yankees get penalized for buying their players. Braves have a significant number of players from their own farm system.
L.A. Lakers. You have to vote for the 4 All-Star member team. All of the haters (including me) have to hope for a monumental clash of egos.
As for the best team, I would have to go with the USA chick soccer team. They have been dominant for a while.
I'm curious, has Real Madrid played Man U. recently? Or are they in different leagues and never play each other?

Avalanche, #1 in their division 9 years in a row and it's not a lay-down division, they have to work for it.
