the best set of earbuds?

what is the best sounding pair of ear buds out there now? and how much?

i hear sennheiser mx500 are damn good for earbuds and theyre about 17$ shipped from newegg.com i think
sony e888 are also said to be good...but roughly just about the same as the sennheiser but these are 50$+

these dont compare to a decent pair of headphones or earclips, though... there are some deep in-ear buds (canal plugs) but theyre really expensive
