Google is my first choice, if I cannot find what I want(quite rare) I try Web Ferret.

Another vote for Copernic...uses about 14 search engines at once including google...and it's free.

Alta Vista and Excite most of the time, I refuse to use Yahoo because they seem to be "prioritized" by who is bigger and probably who pays them to be first.

I usually get the best search results using it.

Metacrawler

You can Customize Metacrawler and select which engines you want it to search; the available options are: AltaVista DirectHit Excite FindWhat Google GoTo.com Infoseek Internet Keywords Kanoodle LookSmart Lycos Sprinks by About Thunderstone WebCrawler.

So, Metacrawler will search all these for you.
