yeh, it belongs in P&N. they would enjoy it much more.

funny how when other politicians mispronounce something it doesn't cause such widespread chuckling, but then again some people just get off on potshotting the Prez.

There's a difference between mispronouncing something occasionally because you're tired or nervous and just not having enough intelligence to give a clear speech.
he's so dumb he's serving his second term as President of the United States.

yeh, no intelligence there.

Bush didn't win the second term.
buy into FUD much?

You're an incredibly fast reader to have read that before replying to it. Or maybe, like most people, you just decided to comment on something you haven't read with your own preconceived notions about it. Hence, your mind is made up and you are not open minded about changing your opinions.

Hence, debating with you is a waste of time.
yeh, i glanced. i knew what you were getting at so i didn't have to memorize the piece.

i am disputing those who say he is not intelligent at all. you don't get where he is by not being intelligent. case closed.

It was a joke, deal.

And how can you judge "intelligence?" Is he intelligent compared to you or me? There are probably a billion other people on the planet more intelligent than he is. You don't get to be president by being intelligent. You get to be president by knowing people, having connections, and having money... either in your pocket, or in someone elses who's backing you.

If you have any interest in finding truth... whichever way it leads... then take the time to really look into the situation. The PDF I posted is a good start. Of course, find your own sources, too.

Honestly, I would rather have Bush in office than Kerry. However, the truth, such as I've found so far, is that Bush lost the election to Kerry but it was rigged to keep Bush in office.

i am not judging his intelligence. i am saying he has to be intelligent in order to be where he is. why can't you understand that?

i guess anyone with a true speech impediment better not even attempt to run for Prez, eh?

I would not laugh at someone with a physical speech impediment.

Have you ever taken a speech course?

To most people that have done any kind of public speaking on a regular basis, it's obvious that Bush's problems are not nerves or occasional mess-ups. The man is not intelligent. That's the blunt truth that the PC people won't say.

Anyone that makes it to the level Bush has would be over most of his/her anxiety of public speaking. That is not his problem.

yes, it was a bigass conspiracy.

i don't believe that. you go ahead and buy it.

i have read articles about it. i'm not going to re-hash. i'm not convinced the election was rigged.

Oh, and it doesn't take intelligence to make it to be President if you have money and the right connections. Bush has both in large amounts. He was born into the 'right' family and has been guided and lead through each step of his life by those around him that are more intelligent, such as his father.

If he's so retarded why is he serving another term?

I voted Kerry. Bush isnt dumb. You have to have SOME brains to be president and get people to re-elect you. Say what you want, but I dont see you being President.

Well you seem to have sarcasm down... it's a shame you've yet to grasp tongue-in-cheek remarks.

What I am arguing is that he does not NEED to be intelligent to be president. It is NOT a requirement. He has people working for him that make decisions for him. The problem here, most likely, is that you are qualifying "intelligent" as being "not retarded," while I qualify it as being "of above average intelligence." If intelligence was a presidential qualifier, there'd probably be a lot more people more fit for the job than him (which I'm sure there are anyway, regardless of how good or bad a job I think he's doing). BUT, like I said earlier, he has CONNECTIONS (his father), he has MONEY and he has a POLITICAL BACKGROUND. REGARDLESS of his intelligence, these things qualify him (at least among his supporters). And none of those things that I listed require greater than average intelligence either. I mean sh1t, Sheehan has at least two of the qualifiers I listed, but I don't think she's more fit to be President of the United States.

You do need to be semi-smart to be president. Being intelligent can mean listening to your much smarter advisers.

And at the same time, you don't have to be intelligent to do what you're told. I can tell my dog to sit and he'll do it, no questions asked. That's my point, and other people have made it already as well. As long as he is of BASE intelligence (ie NOT retarded), if the people behind him are smart enough, that's ALL it takes for HIM to become president. Sh1t, I could have an IQ of 200, but if I don't have MONEY and POLITICAL CONNECTIONS I could never be President. There are more important qualifiers to becoming President than intelligence.

You must be joking, he's a puppet. You actually think he can assertively influence others? Picturing him trying to convince someone verbally is downrigh a circus show.

Being a president doesn't mean jack.

You don't have to be intelligent to be a good leader IMO . They are two very different skills. If a leader can recognize his weaknesses (he must have that level of intelligence I guess) and attract and keep people that excel in those areas he can be a great leader. Bush is stupid and a poor leader though whose complete personal accomplishments can be attributed to the efforts of his father IMO.
