I dunno. Zelda: Ocarina of Time was so damn fun. BUT, Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) was just as awesome.

Reason I love Zelda: Twilight Princess so much is because it seems to draw heavily from Ocarina of Time AND A Link to the Past.
The light/dark world, and being an alternate form when in the dark world is so awesome. I need to play A Link to the Past again. As much as I love Ocarina of Time, I think I might just have to go and proclaim A Link to the Past was my favorite Zelda game of all time. But Twilight Princess is up there and might knock either OoT or LttP out of the top spot. Have yet to beat it though, need to get the game back from my sister (let her borrow all my Wii stuff. Parents bought her a Wii though and were supposed to get all my stuff back but they can't find the bag and my sister doesn't think it is still at her place).

Deus Ex wasn't bad, either. :)

Half-Life 2 is too new to be up for a best of all time award imo.

wtf, that doesn't make any sense. It's for ALL TIME

for something to be awesome for all time, it has to not only to have greatt gameplay, but also great depth and replay value (aka staying power). Otherwise, games like Starcraft or Tetris wouldn't be such a big deal. This takes time to prove.

LoZ: Majora's Mask (it was the best Zelda game in the series by far, sadly most young people at the time found it much to hard with whole time limit and such)

Half-Life
Super Metroid
Sonic and Knuckles with Sonic 3 inserted
Sonic Adventure
Fallout 2
Knights of the Old Republic
Shenmue
Marvel VS Capcom 2
Mario Kart 64
Starcraft
Ultima Online (out of nowhere, I know. But I love it >_<)

far too many I can even name... wow, this is hard. Sadly, FF7 will win most likely. The entire FF series serious went down hill after 6. Tifa and Cloud fanboys are the worst as well.

I disagree. Some phenominal games out there I'd only wanna play once every blue moon. Other not so good ones I'd play for days.

That's like saying a car isn't the fastest car of all time because hasn't proved it'll still be the fastest in 5 years. Ok, well it's not exactly the same but you get my point. I've played and beaten Ocarina of Time once and it was fantastic, don't really wanna go beat it again but that doesn't make it less fantastic. I'm with one of the above posters though, Link to the Past was my favorite Zelda game.

My list (for now):
-Diablo 2 (gets my nod for the greatest game ever, and does so easily)
-Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
-Gears of War
-Resident Evil 4
-Tekken 3
-Forza Motorsport 2
-Call of Duty 4
-Mario Kart 64
-Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast/Academy
-Unreal Tournament
-Lords of the Realm 2
-Zelda: A Link to the Past
-Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
-Super Mario RPG
-Portal

I loved FF8 (didn't like 7 as much), HL2, the original Gran Turismo, and several other games that didn't make my list, these are just my most memorable. Portal barely makes it, but I had to add it not because it was the greatest game ever made (it was fun), but it is one of the most memorable games I've ever played, and that says something. I'm not sure how any of the Halo's make it on to anyone's list, they're unimaginative and boring to me, but they did alot for games as a whole though (one button grenade through, life automatically recharges, etc). I'd almost add them to my list for those reasons.

I am so with you on that. I didn't play any of the old FF's but I did beat 7 one or two times, I never thought it was all that great. It was fun, but best game ever? Not for me.
