The best and fast way to update A7N8X D drivers

Hi, I'm updating to have no problems with a video card upgrade.

1 - Going to install a new Video Card, and in the directions, it says to update your AGP motherboard chipset drivers.

2 - Just Flashed the BIOS from 1003 to 1007, and it seems like a good idear to stay on this update train. And yes I flashed the BIOS to have no problems with the video card install.

3 - I'm using the Asus 1.16 drivers for the past year now, there has to be something more current?

I'm going from an Geforce3 TI200 to an ATI 9700 PRO and I want no problems.

Thanks
Jim

I have the 1.04 rev board (flashed to 1007) . There is a newer version of the nV chiset drivers out, but beware as I encountered problems with a fresh install. The kiss of death for a new install here was the newest nV chipset drivers (WHQL from nVidia site) + Cat 4.3 + Audigy 2. No matter what I would do, or where I would try the Audigy it would kill the new install. Windows splash would come up and run endlessly on the Audigy driver install. Chipset drivers + Cats were no problem, but throw the Audigy in and it was toast.

OTOH, when I ran the 1.16 chipset drivers from the CD there was NO problem whatsoever.

Where chipset drivers are concerned, use what WORKS.

Thank you, I did a install over old drivers, had no problems. One thing I did, was to cancel when it wanted to install the new IDE drivers, because I've seen only bad things about them.
