of course he wont-the entire election was a demand from the israeli population to stop making concessions to arafat...i'm sure the rest of this thread will be spent debating whether barak is a moron, too nice for his own good, etc, and whether or not arafat would accept anything short of the destruction of israel...

I'll try to stay clear of that (wont be able to, though). to stick to the original topic-no, he wont move towards peace, nor is he expected to. commence debate of whether that is the right or wrong attitude.

There will be no peace there for a long time..... and I mean a LONG time. Sharon is simply a can of gasoline to be thrown onto the fire. Unfortuately, now we can just all sit back and watch that region explode -- could be in a few months, could be a little longer, but it's gonna explode.
