I'm thinking my next case will be a TT Level 10 (original) the new GT is too.... Normal, and doesn't look like an art piece!

I guess if you like cases that cost $800, have terrible cooling and are tilty, then the Level 10 is maybe a good choice...

Thermaltake is just plain junk, anyway you cut it.

all the reviews I've read said it was pretty decent at cooling... didn't say it was terrible. Just not 800 bucks woth of cooling! I don't plan on water cooling this device, but plan on having it air cooled... or maybe a closed water cooling system...

It's being re-worked at the moment. Nothing fancy, a Koolance CPU-370 on the CPU and a MCR-320 rad bolted on the back.

When I have it I'll snap a pic or two. :)

It was a run of Limited Edition FT02-RW when the AP181s first came out. I think they only made like 1255 of them.

yeah!!! So being that this case is a "style" type of case, I really want the top mount to be used by my optical drive! Do you guys have any suggestions as to which DVD/RW's would fit?
I just like the fact you can't mount an optical at the top bay! If you can, tell me which model! Which brand!??!
Pretty much any DVD/RW optical drive will fit. Silverstone states that the maximum length of an optical drive in the top two slots of the FT02 is 180mm.

See page 24 of the manual, here: http://www.silverstonetek.com/downloads/Manual/case/Multi-FT02-Manual.pdf

I am currently using a Lite-on iHAS424-98 combo drive and it fits perfectly. Using 90-degree SATA and power cables will pay dividends where space restrictions are concerned. I also had the opportunity to review the Silverstone FT02 and came away impressed with the enclosure. Check out my review here (with tons of professional quality photos) here:

i emailed silver stone regarding the FT02 and the top mount, and they said it's not meant for an optical drive!

Can't trust silverstone... they seem to be a little on the flaky side... I'm not sure what it is, but what's with these taiwanese manufacturers who thinks that their products will just "sell" like hot cakes without advertisements? Then they go up and wont support people who has questions, or help them find a solution as if they're "too good".

It's like they've grown some kind of ego of some sort...

Wow. In no way have I ever felt or been given any indication that Silverstone was flaky or not trusthworthy. Quite the contrary, they've always been excpetionally responsive and courteous to my e-mails and incessant questions.

i meant like they'll develop something, and then say something that is completely untrue! For example: "Do not put optical in top mount. Optical will not fit" was a response to my "Which Optical drives will fit on the top mount of the FT02?"

I had the same experience when dealing with them. My motherboard has the headers for the sound, power and reset buttons in strange places so when the motherboard is 90 degrees rotated the cables weren't long enough to reach. Within a couple of emails, they had overnighted me longer replacement cables that worked perfectly.

Anyway, I've been really happy with this case from a cooling, sound and especially dust perspective. Since my case is on the floor, I had to clean my previous computer every few months because of the amount of dust that would accumulate. So far, I've only had to clean the filters on the FT02.
