The Beatles roof top concert

" I'd like to thank you for the group and myself and I hope we've passed the audition"-John lennon....Passing the audition so long, long ago. RIP John and George..

"Get Back" is one of their best albums, IMO. FYI it's the original "Let It Be" album mixed by someone else. It's essentially the takes from the Get Back sessions and the rooftop concert cleaned up and minus the Phil Spector shitty mixing and effects.

I've probably watched those clips 100 times in the last 40 yrs. and they still give me shivers up my spine.

wasn't that their last public concert?

IIRC, it was also the first one they'd played in years.

True, the amps of the day were so underpowered it got difficult to hear the band over the screaming fans. Also the recordings became much more complex (Revolver), making any live performance that much more difficult to reproduce the songs..

Eh, its been done.

Except when The Beatles did it, they caused traffic jams..Imagine being in NYC and word got out about a FREE Beatles show..

Butch1 is quoting George Harrison from the Simpsons episode.

Peace
