The Battle for the Republican Party. McCain on one side....

techs

Lifer
Rush going after McCain is what it is all about.
McCain is a True Republican. He doesn't want to destroy the US economy thru massive deficits and huge transfers of wealth to the rich.
Rush is a Neo-Con. His goal is the utter destruction of the American economic system by a huge financial collapse which Rush and the Neo-Cons feel is a good thing.
Against the sick, diseased, un-patriotic Neo-Cons stand both Democrats and Republicans who love their country and want whats best for it.
In fact, if McCain wins the nomination, it shows the true divide in this country is Democrat-Republican-Neo-Con.
So Rush and the Neo-Cons are clearly scared that a centrist True Republican could win the Presidency. And show the Neo-Cons are NOT the Republican party AND pave the way for the True Republicans to retake their party.
So, in effect, a McCain victory in November might just kill off the Neo-Cons.

Romeny just got owned by Huckabee and supposedly mccain supporters who backed huckabee knowing mccain couldn't win. Romney is pissed, tough sh*t. When I hear about a big-spend and borrow guy who fellates the memory of reagan at any chance, it's what he deserves.

John "100-Years-In-Iraq" McCain isn't a neocon? Which part of traditional conservative values does empire building fall under?

unless you consider FDR and every president after WW2 to be a neo-conservative, I don't think the "100 years in Iraq" statement means much, when he was clearly comparing it to our involvement in places like Japan, where we've stayed for extended periods of time. he clearly qualified the statement by saying "so long as US troops are not getting killed."

he was against the neoconservative mandate of running the war on the cheap, and if Bush/Rumsfeld had listened to him in the first place, we might not be where we are not.

There's nothing quite so comically Orwellian as a techs post. 😛

This sentence rocks. 😀

And I disagree with your premise. Until either party is willing to reduce military spending to sane levels, we'll be swimming in deficits forever.

by the way , which candidate do i vote for if i want to bring our troops home from South Korea? Ron Paul? or what?
the TROOPS have been in South Korea longer than Iraq, so it seems like they should have dibs over the guys in Iraq

Something about Bread and Circuses?

Rush is pissed because if McCain ends up becoming president he'll have to bash a Republican and he won't know quite how to pull that off. He'll become meaningless and that bothers him. Hillary, otoh, is job security for him.

right , because Rush just got on the radio last week
he wasn't on the radio during GHWB starting in 1988 through the Clinton years and GWB

"right wing" talk radio thrives no matter if Dems or Repubs are in the White House or control House/Senate

get a clue buddy

As a Right Wing Conservative Republican this is how I will vote:
Obama vs McCain = Obama - we need a catharsis, another Jimmy Carter to ruin this country to remind people how retarded the left is
Hillary vs McCain = most likely abstain, I will not vote for the devil, but I'm not voting for an old fart fake Republican who sold his soul to the devil neither
Romney vs Anyone = Romney, most intelligent man running, creative and great leader, I believe he will be creative enough to bring good ideas to solve our "problems" (or at worse outsmart the dems)

Obama - young, charismatic, probably got ahead in life through AA, left wing so he's probably a dumbass, no experience, no network, bunch of rhetoric, has the best chance of ruining this country jimmy carter style
Hillary - the devil incarnate.
McCain - old fart, either mentally retarded or likes making deals with the devil
Romney - intelligent businessman with experience leading in politics, i mean shit if this republican can get Massachusetts to vote for him, he's got to be one smart mofo

I believe Romney would sweep in a national election. Reagan style.

Speaking of fairy tales...

Rommey is a retard, everybody hate it even true republicans, he will sell the nation, and he won't care. McCain a true hero (politicians donut care about service) Rush and Hannity hate the guy because aint a Neocon and speak with Democrats.
You get the recent impression, Neocons are the worst anti-democrates and natural killers the nation can produce.

So Rush = right-wing radio?

The funny thing with Rush (and I don't listen to him) is that after right-wing talk took down McCain's amnesty bill (McCain-Kennedy), he was hailed as the architect who destroyed it.

Now, he's all of a sudden irrelevant.

That's your liberal mainstream media for ya.
