Was I the only one to realize that the movie had this thing in it called The Force?
No, and the whole thing is just a movie... Just pointing out an interesting thought I had...

Don't forget about all the innocent contractors that were killed on the second Death Star.
Do you think the average storm trooper knows how to install a toilet main? All they know is killing and white uniforms.

Gee, where'd you come up with that? CLERKS, maybe? At least be original. 😉

Seriously . . . how did you come up with those numbers, Hopper?
Various sources, partly from watching the movies too many times, partly from the source books, partly from the novels, etc...

I mean, 30K TIEs is no big deal, you could take one out with a potato gun. 😉
Yea, but you never have 30,000 potato guns around when you really need them... 😀

I hope you pulled those numbers out of your ass and didn't actually count.

Pause-Frame Advance-"One two three four five"-Frame Advance . . . 😀
LOL! 😀

No, I'm just a closet SW nut, which is probably worse! 😉

Then you should know TIE fighters might as well be constructed with card board. X-wing >>>>>>>>> TIE fighter. Now, if your talking about 30,000 Tie Advanced... that could be different.

<-- I'm going by the game TIE fighter on this one. 😛

Yes, and if you watched ROTJ, you'll have seen that it was a mix of TIE Fighters, TIE Intercepters, TIE Bombers, Assualt Gunboats, and TIE Advanced.

Even if they were all TIE Fighters however, it wouldn't matter... 30,000 TIE Fighters to 150 various Rebel fighters???

Obviously, the rebels destroyed only a small part of the Empire in the movies so that there would be numerous sequels and spinoffs. Really, how many crappy SW novels can there be?

On a "serious" note 😀, you may ask "Why did the rebellion's destruction of the Imperial leadership not lead to the complete demise of the Empire?" The reason is as you stated, the Empire is so friggin' big. How big is it? It's so big that Earth's recorded history has no indication of a visit by any representative of the Empire. I mean, really--how long do we have to friggin' wait to enlist as a stormtrooper?! How big is the empire? It's so big that major chunks of it have begun to operate autonomously out of necessity or corruption. No Emperor needed. In fact, the Empire would have collapsed as we know it even if the rebel alliance failed.

duh.

I thought the stormtroopers are clones thats why no one needs to enlist.
