yes, definitely CREED. and i think cold is another one. i forget, they all sound the same so i can't remember their names 😛
 
yes cold he does have the R sydrome, but i actually like them. yes, i admit, i like COLD. i am ashamed to admit it, they actually got some airplay on mtv for a while me thinks, but they arent all whiney and bitchy, they are just gloomy and wierd.

that, and alien ant farm. those are my two secret mtv bands.

Actually I love most of the bands you named...or at least really love one or more of their songs (godsmack, creed, staind, linkin park anyway, the rest can bite me).

As for what I HATE:

Almost every RAPPER
Almost every HIP-HOP
EVERY BOY BAND
Almost every TEEN GIRL CRAZE
Almost every COUNTRY GROUP/SINGER
EVERY CONTEMPORARY RELIGIOUS
Almost all HOUSE/TRANCE/DANCE

DAVE MATTHEWS. i can't believe people like him. i hate it when the singers mumble like he does. also creed, u2, smashing pumpkins and all those other bands where the sounds kind of blend into each other. pearl jam, nirvana too. i *hate* them all. they get way too much airtime. i mean once or twice is okay, but all the time? come on! play some bad religion or something good!

hehe, and now you all hate me for stomping on all these famous bands. 😀

i just hate most of what is on MTV. i am anti-mtv because well, it blows and it's all candy coated crap and they are just sucking your money so carson can look hot for the 12 year old girls.

i like outkast, and ODB 😛 as far as rap goes, thats most of what i like,
r&b is suck IMO

country-ditto
EVERY CONTEMPORARY RELIGIOUS-ditto
ALMOST ALL HOUSE/TRANCE/DANCE-ditto, some electonic music is cool though.

btw, i LOVE linkin park. i don't usually like that type of music but that screaming guy can really sing! one of the few new rock bands out there that i like.
 
I frickin' hate Blink 182, Sum 41, and every single other "punk" band that gets played on MTV nowadays. Real punk is good, this "punk" is not. I hate almost all rap, unless it has some amount of talent behind it (which IMO almost none does). I hate most country. I hate Linkin Park. There are a lot more, I just can't think of any right now.
 
dave matthews band are actually talented, thats why people like them, but yes they sound like poo i think

linkin park- just another whiney bitch singer, toss in a DJ and call 'em a band!

they can actually WRITE though, but still their brand of music is not my thing at all, not to mentin the mtv factor, and the whiney bitch factor.

(yeah, he's so depressed, sitting at home, in his mansion, give me a break)

me too! especially taht song where he goes "i tried so hard, but in the end it doesn't even matter..." what a great song...

Hey Bad Religion toured with Pearl Jam, and Eddie sang on their record, so leave them alone. 🙂 And Nirvana, well they're just Nirvana. 🙂

hehe, no i don't dislike them because they get a lot of airtime, but my hate for them is deepened by the airtime being taken up by them. if br got as much air time i'd be in radio heaven 😛

thanks for reminding me about radiohead though, i forgot to put them on my list 🙂

Death metal stopped being good in 1996(best album-Entombed's "Clandestine(1993)). Black stopped being good in 1998(best album-Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant"(1997)). Doom is kind of a generic term, but you're not going to beat Paradise Lost's "Gothic"(1991).

i dont really appreciate them being on mtv but hey they have not sold out so far. i actually met them once, they are real cool, talked to them for a while.

How about Therion and Tristania?

I found Dimmu Borgir's 'Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia' (2001) to be pretty good, though.

BTW, did I mention already that I like Opera? 🙂
 
how do they sound like white zombie?????? they are not even really very close (i like both bands, WZ was my favorite band for a few years before they broke up and i had to move on.
 
They don't sound like WZ. WZ was good, sort of. It's the whole "Growling-without-breathing-trying-to-sound-tough-but-really-just-sounds-like-I'm-pinching-a-loaf" vocal style that needs to be retired. It's what you do when you can't sing but still want to be on the radio.
