I'll clue you in on why the albums all sounded the same......all of them were recorded at the same time! They were just time-released..........HAHAHAHA....this is true from what I have been told from a real music buff.

Hahaha,my brain circuits might have gotten confused in the past but there's never been anything wrong with my hearing and Boston never sounded like anything much to me. You want a distinctive sound?J.Geils fit the bill!

Distinctive? That's one of the great things about Boston. You can recognize one of their songs before the lyrics start. J. Geils Band? They were more 'comedy music'. What was their one hit, 'Centerfold'?

I'm losing a lot of respect for you here, Jean!

Back then I was more into how a band sounded live than how they did in the studio.Lemmie think here,Edgar and Johnnie Winters,J.Geils,AC/DC,Black Oak Arkansa all kick ass live! If I was in the mood for some blues I'd head over into Cambridge to Passim's Coffeehouse, saw Blind Lemon Jefferson and John Lee Hooker.

No, it was when they released their last album.

Okay, looked it up. It was 1997. Man, time flies!

They were a popular top 40 band. For me a lot of top 40 music sounds alike. This is not necessarily a bad thing of course.

Whoa :Q

I think Boston went downhill as they released more albums. Their first album was awesome, Don't Look Back was pretty good, Third Stage was okay but not that great, and Corporate America (their new album) sucks except for one song. And it's not really all that great.

Perhaps for those kids here who grew up on a steady diet of boy-bands and hip hop.. But I grew up listening to those bands, and to me they all sound quite different from each other. Of the three, Journey is my favorite by far. I always did like Boston, though..
