Had this feeling for a good portion of the day. Feels like I'm wearing a hat on the back of my head. What's going on?

If it continues for more than a day, you should see a doctor. Otherwise it's probably just the way you slept last night.

I don't wear hats. =[

it's probably some type of migraine.

take some pain med if it's bothering you.

I stopped taking pain meds. They stopped working for me because I took them too often.

brain dead?

I considered it, then realized that I would have felt the symptoms long ago.

Tylenol, Advil, Acetominophene, etc. don't work for me anymore. My body developed a tolerance. It's not a big deal, because I used to suffer from daily migraines, it's just annoying.

I had something like that once after I hyperventilated. Try breathing into a paper bag to see if that helps.

Better, use a plastic bag over your head. Insure a good tight seal by applying duct tape over the plastic and around the neck. Post the result or have somebody do it for you in the morning.

That, too. =p

I'll just take another shower, maybe that'll help.

It's probably a fungal infection of alien origin, much like that Morgellons thing from a few weeks back. You'll probably develop lesions on the back of your head within a few days, and begin to notice fiberous strands shortly thereafter.
