I'll complain if I want to. This is supposed to be a show-off thread, but so far only one guy showed off awesome screenshots (the Borderlands ones are nice, but not awesome).

I'd post stuff, but all I have is Eve Online shots - and those are nice, but not great.

Edit: Shattered Horizon - more fail from Futuremark. It really doesn't look like something that should be running at 15 or even 30fps.

It looks better in motion.

It's not very optimized, I'll give it that, but it's still a very beautiful game. I haven't tried much gameplay yet, most of my gametime was trying to find optimal settings and figuring out controls on an empty server.

Some would call that trolling.

Anyway, I think the second Futuremark screenshot looks decent, The first one looks pretty meh, way too many jaggies.

Both screenshots posted so far are from pig ugly games.

Also, this thread reminds me to turn off tags.[/QUOTE]

I wouldn't call L4D2 amazing graphically, but it is far from ugly. and the Dragon Age Screenshot is certainly not bad graphically.

L4D 2 looks significantly less detailed than HL2, which is several years old now.

Hey, it's 1990's game. That's pretty high res for that era. :p

The EuroGamer review did note that the incredibly silly gore did turn a lot of "serious" (as serious as you can have with armor that shows cleavage) dialogue into high comedy. Glad to see they were right. The more I see of DA, the more glad I am I didn't purchase before (if) they release a demo.

lern2thumbnail, noobs.

Godlessastronomer wins the thread so far.

Thumbnails are way more manageable...

with the following:

HTML:

...although, you have to have a thumbnail to link to (which imageshack provides).

I thought it was UT3 except... well it apparently looks nicer on the PC than the console. It's been a long time since I played it.

As for the blood in Dragon Age cutscenes, I've gotten used to it and actually like it when the cutscene is right after a massive battle and the faces are splattered. But unfortunately the blood sticks around for a long time and ends up just being silly when you're in cut-scenes LONG after a battle and everyone's still drenched. Very silly.

Also, just regarding the thumbnails, I would have added a thumbnail but the original thread starter seems to want full sized images so I obliged.

Woah... what kinda graphics setup do you have to run crysis at that high of a res?
