I just counted 24 pairs, but my wife is out of town, so who knows how many she took with her.

Most are inexpensive though, so I can't complain much.

who knows maybe it can be profitable. i know someone who recently sold 120 pairs of unworn nikes for enough to contribute to his down payment for his house (in San Francisco no doubt).

Wow... just wow. :D

If that's an honest post, you're a brave soul. hehe
For me:
In just dress shoes alone there are about 15pr, casual dress another 5 pr and then the rest are athletic shoes.
Can't wear the same pair of black dress shoes everyday to work. Wool slacks, starched cotton dress shirt, and a nice pair of shoes. Been dressing like this for near 9 yrs so you tend to buy a new pair or two every year.

Athletic sneaker collecting is a bit of a hobby:
Really strange how people will pay $300 for a $100 pair of shoes just because its 2yrs old and no longer sold, all in the hopes they look cooler than the next guy.

2x farm boots (short and tall)
1x Teva sandals
1x hiking shoes
1x dressy sandals
2x slip-on junky shoes
2x everyday sneakers (identical, so comfortable that I bought a backup pair for when the first pair wears out)
couple pairs of shoes that I should throw in the goodwill box
Need to buy a good pair of leather hiking boots since mine finally wore out.

The boots and Tevas are seasonally worn, the dressy sandals get worn when I dress up (definitely less often than once a month), I only wear the 'junky' shoes when I'm running around outside doing chores, and I alternate between the hiking shoes and sneakers when I leave home for everyday stuff.

The spare bedroom closet of course. All tucked neatly in their boxes with 2-rows back to front stacked from floor to ceiling.
