The EFX and costumes probably look cheezy to you and they are by today's standards. Back in the 70's when i was watching the latest NEW episode of The Hulk at 8:00PM, it was the best thing ever. Walls obviously made out of styrofoam making a fake, out of sync BA-BOOM as he smashed them got me giddy with an adrenaline rush.

It's easy to compare this to say something like, Immortals or Thor and say "What total shit." There was no CG back then. i don't think green screen was invented yet either. With nothing else to compare it to, whatever EFX or costumes they had back then was simply awesom.
 
I remember watching that as a kid. It came out several years before I was born, but I still remember enjoying it quite a bit.
 
Looks like a fake/spoof made from bits of different movies & TV shows of the period. There's even an attack by the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica.
 
LOL, I wonder how many people watched this and thought it was a real TV movie?

The Cylons are working for Paul Lynde! Only Hawkeye can stop them!
 
black nick fury is from the marvel's ultimate universe of comics. but I heard they just introduced him into the main universe as white nick fury's illegitimate kid. lolcomics
 
Music sucked. Action sucked. Costumes sucked.

Ironman looked like crap. Captain America looked like a pansy.

Why the hell was KISS featured so much?

BTW, I loved the Paul Lynde casting. And Ferrigno has always been the best Hulk.
