I deal with THAT PERSON everywhere I go, every single day of my life. The stories I could tell. --From almost getting arrested at McDonald's for trying to order some fries.... Getting detained and interrogated for 2 hours at a hospital for taking a picture of a shadow on the ground.... Getting heat called down on me for walking in a public park after a storm.... I've even been publicly ridiculed at a Best Buy because someone would not concede the fact that the price she rung up was wrong (according to the shelf.)

WTF!! I would normally LOVE that skit (and the one at the airport when Mena Suvari hosted...same character), except that it hits TOO CLOSE TO HOME. I seriously get treated like that by EVERY EMPLOYEE I come in contact with. Anyone else?

Now turn it AROUNT and get in the back of the line.

I know exactly how you feel.

I have to put up with crap like that from a lot of teachers at school.

This is an example from two weeks ago.

Mrs. Winter- "I'm missing your literary analysis from a couple weeks ago. You have a zero for that grade."
Me - "No, I turned that in with the rest of the class when that was due."
Mrs. Winter - "That's not what my gradebook says."
Me - "Mrs. Winter, you gave the paper back to me graded last week."
Mrs. Winter - "No I didn't"
Me - *I return to my desk to my the paper in question out of my notebook.* "See, you gave me a 92%."
Mrs. Winter - "Oh well. Go sit back down."

When my wife and I walk into Subway, for instance (and BTW, we get better service at Subway than most places), there will be NO customers in the store. 6 FSCKING EMPLOYESS behind the bar, talking. Just yappity yap. It's not unusual for us to stand there for 1 1/2 to 2 FULL MINUTES before anyone even acknowledges our presence. And it's downhill from there. I know, I know.... Be loud and demanding with them? They'll call the cops and claim you came behind the counter. Speak to the manager? She's there. She's one of them. Walk out? And go where? It's just as bad anywhere else in town. I swear...this place has got me DOWN. WTF happened to people working for their money? If your position is service, then FSCKING SERVE. :disgust:

I do have to say, though....there is one place in town that gives us AMAZING service every time. They do everything short of roll out the red carpet for us. There is a Mexican restaurant here. DAMN good food, and great people. We have eaten there so often in the past, they know us and treat us special. It's like the good ol' days when everyone valued customers. See, to the people that run this place, they see us coming and think "These people have given us a lot of business. They are nice, tip well, and they eat here often. WE CAN NOT AFFORD to lose their business."

And, sure, FISCALLY speaking, they can afford to lose our business. But if they think of it like that, ALL IS LOST. See, when they recognize that good customers are valuable to them, and they treat them that way, they get MORE of our business, and word of mouth, etc.... And if they make it a common practice, they will get more faithful customers.. So, when we come in, we get seated immediately, get the big fat frosty mugs when everyone else gets a little glass....that kind of stuff. --But it's the ONLY "good" business in town. The rest is CRAP.

I get this same crap too, when I go to do something. I have something across my forehead that says "make it complicated". I go in to rent a movie, I figure, I sign up, give em some money, show em my license, good to go. "do you have a credit card?" "we cant rent to you". I go to a nearby bank to cash a check a customer just wrote me... "do you have an account here?" no. "sorry sir" and I have to take it to my bank halfway across town. Or "two peices of ID, please?" like a drivers license, and social security card isnt enough. It would be enough ID for a cop to arrest me, if he were looking for someone. And, McDonalds, or burger king, I say "#2 with no onion" (usually I wouldnt be so picky, but Mcdonalds uses onions that are like paste, the juices soak in the bun, I am allergic) and I get a #3 with no pickles. Then I take it back, and they act all put-out, and maybe return my meal. I just dont get it.
