Try a hardcore server, if you haven't yet - it took a little while to get used to it, but I prefer it now. If only they'd fix the G36's reddot...

That is an awfully high K/D ratio for the leader. Surely he was cheating.

Here lately, I have noticed that when I am in a tank, the radar that detects enemies does not detect them. One second I look at it and nothing there, then the next thing I know I can hear someone planting C4 on my tank, then boom. Why isn't the tank's radar(or whatever it is called) detect enemies? Anybody else having this problem?

are you sure you have the right vehicle specialization picked? you have to pick the one that detects nearby enemies, i forgot what that's called. i only use v-optics myself.

I did not think about that. I just thought it was standard on all tanks.

I do not have that specialty selected. Then why would it be still scanning for nearby enemies?

No, he was not cheating. That's my friend, he was the gunner in my Huey, and I'm just as good if not better when he's flying and I'm getting the glory from all the slaughter as the gunner.

This case was just the perfect storm of our team being so bad that we just had to slaughter wave after wave of enemies just to keep them at bay so that the baddies on our team could finally arm the MCOM. It was even more perfect because the server we were playing on was modded to give the attackers 100 tickets at the beginning instead of the default 75, and we were down to 7 or 9 tickets before we finally took the first set. Of course I think we'd mostly broken the will of the defenders at that point so the next sets weren't as hard, we were nearly at 100 kills with attacking just the first set of MCOMs.

They're probably using the walk-throw-jump technique (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYEg-HGEX1o - works on all throwables such as grenades and medkits, not just C4) to launch their C4 onto your tank from a much further distance. I do it all the time to engage tanks from afar as recon/assault.

that could be a problem as well. I've never really messed with the sensor perk because I never found it to be effective enough, it seems like the range is too short and any warnings would be too late.

I only ever mess with armor (defensive tank), smoke (attacking tank), alt fire (machinegun is great for anti-infantry or anti air, or anti armor if its the Bradley/Bakhcha), or optics (for tank sniping, particularly useful on MCOMs).

yea you need to have the sensor perk selected.
i did notice that the scan waves thing still shows up on the minimap even when you have other perks selected so that's why you're probably confused. it confused me at first too but i realized it won't pick up any enemys on the scan unless you have the sensor perk.

What I do, since I never use that perk, is switch to outside view a lot (button C). It's almost like endorsed cheating as you have a significantly larger field of view from the drivers stand point.

yup.

even if its disable he 'look behind' button(v) does it from that FOV, I use it when flying if I lose sight of the other sides helo.

I'm debating switching from the 1920X1080 to 1650 resolution, it was hard to adjust but a friend of mine says it's a lot easier, you guys feel this is true?

Your machine looks capable of running 1920x1080 at high details, so I don't think you would gaining much, if anything, in responsiveness to compensate for running it at a lower res.
Are you experiencing any issues?

Just fell in love with the 40mm shotgun. After never scoring a kill with it before, I got 48 today, including a single-shot double-kill. That's some good s**t!

Awesome rounds with gully and zargon...played way too long for my health/sanity, but it was fun.

Zargon - what's with the lag? That new rig of yours can't be breaking a sweat!

I'll have to get back into the 40mm shottie

I spent the rounds after you left saiga+c4 assault. hadnt done assault classes in a while

the lag was wierdo. i had to shut down bc2 and restart it then I was good to go

sadly, I'm still running the old rig. taking my sweet ass time with the new one apparantly :D

so the q9550 @ 3.3 and the 6950(which I havent unlocked the shaders on yet).......

I'm experiencing lower FPS (25-35) and choppiness in the game lately.

I'm going to try and OC my CPU and Ram tonight see if it helps at all, but my GPU's are pretty much maxed out as is.

Download FRAPS and run a benchmark test while playing the game. This will give you mix/avg/max FPS. You should be getting more than 25-35fps, and FRAPS will tell you what you're actually getting.

Overclocking the CPU will do little, and OCing the memory won't do anything at all - I'm sure that's not your bottleneck if you're actually getting 25-35fps. That sounds more like crossfire isn't working.

Crossfire was a strange beast for me with my 5770's and this game. Maybe the older drivers were better for it I dunno, but I never seemed to gain much in the way of performance with 2 cards. I actually remember lowering my specs a bit to make the frame rate more consistent. Now with just 1 card I feel like I'm getting nearly the same performance as I use to have with 2.

I am rank 28 on xbox 360 and play fairly often, but I just picked this up on steam and HOLY HELL it is way easier/more fun. I can actually aim lol. Started my first match as rank 0 and got 23 medals and 16xxx points lol.

Nice! This is exactly why I don't like FPSes on consoles.

What map were you on? That's quite the haul for one match.

This was my major worry, my 3dMarks were low when I ran it...new drivers game out today and I'll download the profiles again after drivesweeper uninstall.

Terrible at what, specifically? Remember, you don't get the highest score by getting the most kills. You get ace pins by being the most helpful to your team.

Throw as many medic packs, ammo packs, and motion mines as you can. Trace every vehicle you see. Run with your squad and cap every flag you can. And finally, burst fire.

Rant alert:

My EFFING PET PEEVE in this game is watching noob snipers die with three motion mines left in their kit. WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION??? THROW YOUR STUPID MINES AND HELP THE TEAM. YOU CAN FIND AN AMMO PACK SOMEWHERE, NOOB!

/rant

edit: I've had a few cocktails. Time for bed.

I usually play assault or engineer and I'm good at the repair ammo drop side of things. Its my shooting. I'm not interested in getting a ton of kills but I'd like to stay alive for more than 2 minutes. I don't want to blame it one my mouse and keyboard but perhaps playing on wireless set is hindering performance?
