Why is running over someone still so hard? 🙁 I'm trying to get that roadkill pin, and I got a double roadkill twice!! but I can't get that elusive 3rd. I even ran over this guy twice with a quad and it only hurt him 🙁 Sigh, gotta keep at it I guess.
 
I've only gotten 3 roadkills in the entire time I've played the game, and they were in 1 vehicle within seconds of each other. I just jumped in a truck and started driving around in circles on Atacama fooling around. I wasn't even aware of the pin. I think that would be the easiest map to do it though, it's open and there's always snipers hanging around on the outskirts.

STUPIDEST PART OF THE GAME. EVER.

I think it's retarded that hitting someone at full speed in any vehicle doesn't necessarily kill them unless it's an APC or tank. I hit someone full fucking throttle with the patrol boat today. He promptly killed me as I exited the vehicle and he had 45% health left.....completely retarded. And don't get me started on trying to kill someone with the quad bike.
 
Its stupid, but in order to kill someone on the ATV, you have to line them up with one of the wheels.

An ATV might be safer against missiles and tanks because its a smaller target, but it is slower and you're also completely exposed, the combination of which makes you extremely vulnerable to small arms fire. So not only are you less likely to actually connect with and score a kill on the ATV, you're far more likely to simply be shot off of it before you even get close enough - its gotten so ridiculously easy for me to simply dodge an ATVer trying to roadkill me that I now stand my ground in a game of chicken as I instead have some fun and try to shoot and kill the driver instead...of course this has gotten boringly predictable as well with me almost always killing the driver or even destroying the ATV.

Its easiest to get the achievement on one of the larger vehicles maps (Atacama Desert Conquest for instance) and use a jeep as they provide a much wider kill zone and they also are the fastest land vehicles in the game by far, much faster than the ATVs after they nerfed the ATV speed a couple patches ago. Naturally, the increased speed and big bumper make things far tougher for potential victims to dodge, and the enclosed vehicle and increased hit points will likely keep you alive longer assuming you make it a point to avoid tanks and engineers.

Just jump in a put the pedal to the metal and just sort of figure eight around a hotly contested area and you'll eventually get it.

There were some people on the server (from techPowerUp.com & BF2S.com) around 8:00 so I hopped on. We might have peaked at 6 people. Don't recall exactly what time you showed up in TS, maybe shortly after that.

Later on there were two periods when I had to go AFK: putting the little ones to bed around 9:30-10:00, and picking up my oldest from work about 10:45-11:15. It was probably one of these time periods you got it working. Sorry.

I sat on the empty server between 11:15 and midnight, then went to play a little elsewhere after midnight.
 
Lol! Although I've had some trouble knifing since they reverted it back. Feels a lot slower and you can actually die before you knife someone. Seems knifing someone from the front is very hard.
 
People are pissed at DICE for saying "it's safe to say we are going to have something great for people this year" about GameCon, then delivering ABSOLUTELY NOTHING new about BFBC2, BC2:Vietnam, or Battlefield 3.

Perhaps in response, a community member took it upon himself to produce the first teaser trailer for BF3! Enjoy! It's all you'll get out of DICE for the forseeable future.

well i was pretty much stopping bc2 after i reached 49 because it wasn't as fun anymore.

in fact, i was going back to 2142. but i'm out for a while now. 🙁
 
I will be on early, not sure for how long, my wife will be at grad school all night

so if anyone wants to play earlier hit me up through steam as I'll likely be on and playing by 7PM Central at the latest(proabably more like 5:30 😀 )
