Wow, I have to use my pistol more often. I had no idea the MP-412 did that much damage up close. I've been killed many times by pistols and now I know why.

Keep posting your ideas and thoughts on Battlefield. I am especially interested if you are located outside of Europe and North America.

Dirty little secret: carrying an MP-412 is almost like having a Saiga as a backup.

this reaffirms what I thought before

the SV98 is great.

same damage, faster shots and reload than the GOL and M24? or slower fire rate and faster reload depending on how you read the fire rates?

I'd much rather have the M1911 or MP443. The 1911's faster ROF, similar power, 1 extra bullet per mag, and leaps and bounds faster reloading makes it far more forgiving in the most intense situations.

Sure, you could wield the MP-412 like a primary weapon and fall back to your bigger gun as backup instead of reloading, but I've run around with just using the M1911 and knife and claimed top score in the server on multiple occasions.

The MP443 is also better because of its awesome ROF, its excellent accuracy in spite of that great ROF, and large mag size, I can often count on being able to get two CQC kills with that as a backup whereas the 1911 and MP412 are bound to run out of enough ammo to get more than one kill unless you're absolutely perfect with every shot.

M1911 = best multipurpose
MP443 = best true backup

IMO at least 😛

last I knew the SV98 did slightly less damage than the other bolts at long range, although maybe they changed things

There are other things those stats don't account for, such as bullet drop, and after just using all the bolt actions I never really liked the SV98 over the GOL or M24. Of course that could also be due to its triangle sights.

the only problem with the triangle sights is that it gets lost sometimes in the scenery. it sucks that you can't change your crosshair colors like previous BF games.

These tweaks were in the last console patch, and are probaby in this patch too:

--Increased the penalty points for TeamKill and TeamDamage
--Increased the reward points for Objective Actions (Flag Cap/Assist, Arm/ Disarm/ Destroy/ Damage/ TeamDestroy/ TeamDamage)

I don't have all the numbers, but I think destroying an MCom is now 250 points, instead of 100. A teamkill is now -100, etc.

whatever happened to the server browser showing modified servers separately from HC and normal?

I noticed last night that there were yellow 'skulls' and gray 'skulls' in the server menu. The gray ones seemed to be Hardcore mode with maps on or FF off or whatever, while the yellow was your Hardcore mode with everything off and stuff. At least that's what I noticed.

not according to the chart, and as I understood it they all had the same bullet drop. because they were all given the same projectile speed

I'm up for some RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE so I may play some later on. My main medic gun has been the T88...how is it post-patch?

Just noticed they mentioned the G36....but there is no G36 in this...that was bf2. the G36C was my favorite gun in that game..
