Having a blast, still. However, if I'm sitting next to a ticking bomb and kit on the ground, I'm FAR more interested in defusing the bomb. I can't count how many times I've gone to arm/defuse only to start swapping kits constantly while precious moments slip away. Gets REALLY annoying.


Yeah, this bugs me as well. Had one instance where I simply couldn't defuse. Standing there in the heat of battle looking at this bomb ticking furiously hitting 'E' but nada. I think something glitched with a guy that died on it. Eitherway I was forced to leave it. :\
 
Running around holding your left mouse button must be hard


I use the 4x, and never go full auto, I just like that unlike the other LMG's it has the punch to kill in 2-3 shots instead 4-5

and with the 4x I can headshot from an OK distance.

its not like the M60 wasnt a beast IRL

its fire rate is much slower than the others, and it does have some recoil
 
wtf? I just tried to start the game and I get a message that says the game is currently unavailable. I can't even load to play the SP.

By default, it runs the updater app, maybe that is borked. If you want to run single player, try running the BFBC2Game exe.
 
anyone else's favor server list limited to only the first 6 servers added?

Man, on my server they stack the hell out of one team and leave the noobs to fend for themselves. I'm going up against guys who have 12xzoom scope rifles and body armor.

There's no excuse for 18v14 or 20v12.

There should be a hard limit of 17 per team (some wiggle room at least)
 

I don't really have a problem paying for DLC, and I don't quite understand those who take issue with paid DLC. After all, you purchased the game as-is; your payment doesn't somehow entitle you to their future work. (not aimed at you, GullyFoyle 🙂 ... just a general comment)

However, when paid DLC is released in such a manner that it fractures the audience, that's when I toss my !@#$.

I agree I wish DICE would fix auto team balance because it does not work at all. No matter the team sizes people can switch to whatever side they want. So what happens all to often on my server is people will start switching to the winning side and then the teams become unbalanced. Then I have to threaten kicks for team switching.

If they implemented a team balance system so that you couldn't switch sides to a side that has the same or more players that would be a better system.
 
didn't notice this before since it's not stated in-game or through the sig images, but apparently there is a W/L stat being recorded

good to know my efforts haven't gone in vain, although the 50% win rate basically says I'm not a detriment to the team but I'm also not a tremendous asset to the team.

I'm sure people will have nothing better to do and manipulate their W/L stats though or value e-peen way to much and switch to the winning side just before the round ends.
 
VIP code only applies to console versions, which can be resold. Anything released to VIP's for free on consoles will just be released in a public patch for the PC version.

You are confusing your registration code with the VIP code.

On the console, you needed the VIP code to download the day-1 maps. And future "free" DLC (some supposed to come later this month). This links the content to your EA account, which you can't sell with the game. That way, if you resell your game, the next person has to pay to have the "free" DLC everyone else is playing.

There may be other paid DLC which will have nothing to do with your VIP code.

AFAIK, DICE has been mum on any paid DLC for the PC. They don't need to hear the bitchin. Doesn't mean they don't intend on having some eventually.

There was a VIP code in my PC copy, same kind that was in my PS3 copy. PC copy also had the serial on the manual.
 
WOW. Just had 3 killer rounds: 15:1, 20:5, 32:15. Brought my K/D from ~ 0.85 to 1.20 in just those three rounds. Was absolutely destroying in HC as Recon.

I don't know how the Frostbite engine works, so I'm not sure if bullet drop / travel time can be updated with a new server client (or if it's a setting on the server itself), but in these games I noticed absolutely zero delay or drop even from across the map. Actually took me awhile to adjust because of this.

PS: Mortar = win
