woah what is up with this game?

I just bought it and couldn't even connect to a multiplayer server, so I gave up and started single player. On single player after about 2 minutes the image gets "burned in" and I see double until I exit. WTF?
 
Anyone else find it really unfortunate that you can only have iron sights on the M4? It was my second favorite weapon in MW but its significantly harder to use with iron sights in BC2

Yea, I absolutely hate iron sights in this game.

The real problem is, is that they just completely obscure your target while you're trying to aim.

I try to just put the iron sights right on the guy, if it's covering him up I usually hit him. When I start shooting though I just look for the hit indicator.

The story is pretty good...if i little played out. My biggest complaint is, after an hour or so, i realize it feels like i've been swimming through molasses. Reloads, crouching actions, vehicle ingress and egress...they're all about 25% slower than say, crysis, or MW2.
 
- Campy storyline
- AI is terribad
- Was expecting more rude and crude and hilarious banter between the group [Bad Company 1 video cracked me up - BC2 seems to be taking itself a little bit more serious]
- waaaay too many cut scenes.
- Awesome intro to the multiplayer aspect [Russians invading from Alaska].
 
I think whatever updates they did made it so more servers show pings at least on my end. If I sort by ping I can scroll almost half way down the list before the pings start not showing up, before it wasn't even 1/4th down the list.

It is reliant on the BFBC2 official stats page working which it isn't at the minute: http://badcompany2.ea.com/soldier
When it is, go and look up your soldier so it gets your latest stats then go and get your signature.

Note: It seems your .sig stats don't include your Beta dogtag numbers.

Wow, the M60 is a total-beast. It's basically a 100-round semi-auto sniper rifle.

Anyway, I've unlocked everything but the top-tier guns (M416,UMP,etc).

Are there any clan games going on some plac?

Yeah, I wish they would tone it down a bit.
 
Having a blast, still. However, if I'm sitting next to a ticking bomb and kit on the ground, I'm FAR more interested in defusing the bomb. I can't count how many times I've gone to arm/defuse only to start swapping kits constantly while precious moments slip away. Gets REALLY annoying.

DICE dev mentioned previously, hold E as you are approaching the crate to start disarming as soon as you are in range, without picking up any kits lying about.
