I'm not as bad as I thought I was! I got my 5770 yesterday so that helped my stats by a ton as I was playing at 15-20 fps everything on low with my backup card since I got the game.

Kinda surprised my K/D ratio is this high, I've been getting murdered while trying to learn the new maps and playing against people who are level 20+.

I've tried that...BTW, these pings do not show up ingame, they do for the server browser.
 


Not doing so well in K/D but I have a lot of dog tags. Anyone know what a silver dog tag is? I got one yesterday and I don't know how I got it.
 
Yeah I suck. I was a run and gunner in COD4 and that technique does not work in BC2 given the map size and weapon balancing. So this is going to take a lot of practice until I find a niche like I did in Modern Warfare.
 
I have to admit, I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned with their K/D. This is really the first game in a long time that I just don't care about my K/D. I was obsessed with it in COD4 and MW2, but there's so much more to focus on in BC2 (a good thing) that I don't let any one stat get me down.

Maybe it a range of people close to you like 5 below and above is silver. I am skeptical of that too though because I have killed people above me in level at like 16 or 17 and only gotten bronze dog tags.

I have no idea then, it probably has to do with how high or low below you they are.

Joystick Fix from an unlikely source
As many of you know the twist for rudder is reversed. Here is a work around that I have tested and works 100%:

Go to your Documents\BFBC2\input\ folder and open up air.dbx with Notepad (make a copy of it first for safe keeping). Search through it for the keyword ConceptYaw and scroll down to the PadInputActionData section right below it. In there change the ScaleValue from a 1 to a -1
Save.

Your twist for the rudder is now set correct.

What video card would you say is the bare minimum in order to play at decent FPS?

I have an aging 8800 GTS and need to upgrade, I was reading that the 5850 is playing this game at decent fps...but it is close to 300...

If I were to upgrade to a 5850...how much do you think I could get for my 8800 GTS 640?
