I dont know if this has been mentioned before, I'll admit I haven't read ALL the posts...

I currently rent a server, and when the EA Servers go down my server remains up (obviously, because they aren't directly tied to each other)... Now, when the EA Servers come back up, I can join my server but will get kicked immediately with a PB Init issue.

Now, when I reboot my server, the PB issues ceases.

I think its because when the EA Servers tie a connection from your game-server to PB, and when the EA Servers get "rebooted" the old connection between your GS and the PB server were broken but aren't reset until the server you're attempting to join restarts post EA Servers coming back up...

I've had this happen everytime the EA Servers go down (or a patch comes out for the servers) but rebooting my server fixes it immediately.

Just some incite that hopefully DICE will look into, may-be the fix for the issue on some levels or for SOME people.

I'll see if I can get a server restarted to test this. Don't know if Jschmuck is around, ATM.
 
Edit - Got my Clan server restarted, and I was able to stay in. Go to the GFC (search for it) Server and check it out.

did you play world at war? this is nothing compared to the issues with that game.
 
i fucking hate this game. the snipers are just fucking impossible. They are worse than on BF2 because with BF2 you could at least tell where they are or see them. 99% of the time i have no fucking clue where i got shot from. hell, 99% of the time I can't tell where I got shot from with non sniper weapons. there's way too much shit going on in this game.

also, the game feels super clunky even when I'm getting like 50 FPS. Maybe its lag, but I can't tell BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE THE FUCKING PING!!!

I wish I never bought this piece of shit game. I should have listened to my hatred of anything Battlefield related.

Ehh it doesn't seem that hard to find out where snipers are. Look for all the basic sniper spots. Pretty easy to flush them out. Also complaining because there's too much stuff going on??? lol
 
Server restarted. Sorry about the downtime guys. I'm back in town tomorrow and I'll get on putting in some more admins 🙂

I think it is safe to say that playing a medic takes an incredible amount of skill. Hold the trigger much?

Oh and the M16, despite being the last assault rifle, isn't as good as it should be.

Especially once you learn the maps it gets a lot easier to tell where the shots came from.

edit: nm went through upgrade unlocks and there is one for Armor. wonder if the damage reduction applies to normal and magnum ammo.

Interesting chart, looks like the M95 is a one-hit-kill with mag ammo at certain ranges.

To me this is interesting as the in game sliders mean basically nothing then.

no, its not. especially when they are on the other side of the map or hidden in trees.

Headshots allow it. Also, if they're close enough you can do it too.

Well, I don't buy the PC versions of games like this because I couldn't have fun with it.
Console version = fun and nomad.

HAHAHA. Someone's raging that they suck at the game they just spent $50 on. EA got your money and you can't get it back!

LOL at all the crying in this thread. Seriously Modern Warfare 2 was made for you people.
 
Ok, why the fuck don't i have the Garand or the medic medkit or defib? it shows unlocked but I when I play there is no option to select the Garand and when i play medic, all i have is my pistol and rifle.

something else weird happened too, when i playing engineer, i couldn't bring up my rocket launcher even though it showed available.

Why don't they have separate vehicle and on foot mouse sensitivity settings? on foot is fine but when i drive a vehicle and use a turret, it is fucking slow as hell. if i raise sensitivity, its too sensitive for on foot.

I end up playing engineer mostly because repairing vehicles is pretty much the only way i can get any fucking points in this game.
 
Haven't had the chance to put a ton of time into the game yet but so far, I'm a bit disappointed. Feels like a mix between BF2142 and CODMW and doesn't have the epicness of BF2.

Positives:
Graphics
Variety of Maps
Game Modes

Negatives:
Server Browser(why no ability to join a server using an IP address?)
Only 4 in a squad
No VOIP communication between squads makes tactics more difficult unless everyone is using Teamspeak
Guns(besides sniper rifles) are too weak and no ability to switch a gun to single shot.
Lack of a Commo Rose (current spotting and request system is weak)
Lack of game customizations compared to BF2

Thankfully, I play with a bunch of folks that use TS, so it makes playing more enjoyable. Hope they update the weapons damage before league play starts.
