Kind of curious to know whether you guys use standard 3/4 button mice or go for the exotic 5+ button mice to play this game with?

I wonder because sometimes I'll face someone in-game that just effortlessly switches between weapons and ammo/med packs or weapons and 'nades. It makes me using the scroll wheel look like an n00b.

Use the numbers 1234 for weapon switching. Also, I use Q for nades.

some arguing about adding optics to the M14/G3

I love the M14 but w/o sights its not that useful

some dudes are saying 'they tested it and said its out of balance so just trust them'

LOL.

Those dudes that test the M60 as OK too :D

Here's another configuration tool: =EM= Clan Certified BC2 configurator! - The best :)

MAIN FEATURES of the program:
-Edit settings of interest from BOTH the settings.ini AND the GameSettings.ini files
-Lists with all available resolutions that your PC can display with the ability to set a custom resolution (with refresh rates)
-FOV configuration automatically calculates the HORIZONTAL FOV for you
-Voice Over language options have an information line that tells you EXACTLY how your enemies/squadmates will sound
-Sound settings have preset values that you can select by choosing the type of your CPU
-When you save your configuration you have an option to create a backup
-Ability to launch the game with the "fullproc" parameter
-Most of the commands have tooltips on mouse over that explain their function in detail
-The software automatically detects your BC2 configuration folder and your game folder so you don't have to configure anything and can launch it from anywhere
-Auto scales the application window in order to fit all of the controls on resolutions equal or below 1024x768

Does War Tapes sound weird to anyone else? I tried my headset and 5.1 speakers and while I can hear more things, it gives everything a weird reverb effect. and seems to make everything louder as well. I'm just going back to Hifi.

March NPD has BC2 selling 825.5K copies on 360 and 451.2K copies on PS3. no idea what is used to chart PC sales, but bfbcs.com has the PC roughly equal to the combined amount of PS3 & 360 players in its database.

obviously not a very accurate measurement to use though, but provides somewhat of a ballpark figure

It took me a while to get used to War Tapes but with my 5.1 setup it sounds amazing. I don't know how the effect is with headphones though so your probably better off with HiFi.

Going to test the 10.4's tonight, I'll let you know how they work. Guy above said it improved for him.

Yes drivers work. Load times are almost instant for me.

Really? I'm kind of bummed. I did not notice very much of a difference with load times with the 10.4 drivers. Still way quicker when I had GTX260's. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure, I noticed a HUGE difference. I used to be able check my stats, and the leader board, then go though all my medal and still have time to wait. I'd say now its about 7 seconds before the "JOIN" button pops up for me.

I finally got the M60 today. I'm so relieved.

Can someone here compile a list of good servers to play in besides the ATOT server? I'm so sick and tired of the lack of organization in some of the servers that I have joined.

Also, is it possible to set some defaults for the server browser? I hate having to check off those options such as punkbuster and etc. when search for servers.

If you read earlier in the thread, there's been a lot of griping about the server browser. There's no way to set defaults. It pretty much sucks.

Have fun with that M60. I got to it, finished out medic with it, and haven't even tried out the other medic guns. I used to really hate it, until I got one. Same with the Gustav.

There are 164 pages in this thread. I don't have time or the desire to sift through everyone of them. There's no need to make a comment like that. I'm not the only one that would not want to read 164 pages in a given day let alone even spend an hour doing.

After alternating between the Assault and Medic class when I first got the game, I devoted much of this week to the Medic class. I'm kind of itching to go back to Assault just because I want the M16A2 so badly. It's such a nice weapon to use.

During peak hours, try the Dragonwolves Lair server. We're on there regularly. Click the link below for more details. :)

And go figure that there's a fix for my 4850 and I'm in Boston all weekend.

Can't add favorite servers, just sits there connecting.

Cant see pings in the server browser unless I run as admin. Can't always run as admin because when I do my extra mouse buttons don't work.

Gotta love this game.
