i think this game would be a lot more fun if K/D wasn't tracked and didn't turn into such a big deal. now people aren't willing to plant/defuse MCOMS for the fear of dying.

Then I don't know what to tell you, the difference is blatantly obvious. Maybe you need your eyes checked (not try to be a dick, seriously).

For comparison, here are two screenshots, one at default FOV and the other at 95. These are taken from exactly the same position.
95:

55 (default):

The difference is even more striking in motion.

Yea I got dizzy when I turned up the FOV. Maybe his gaming problems are more then just the game cus if he can't tell the difference then something's really wrong.

Its a foolish pride thing IMO. Once you start worrying about nothing but stats and forsake the rest of your team because of stats, then you shouldn't be playing a team/squad based game. Most of us play the game for the fact its fun, not because its a life or death thing if my stats are ZOMG PWNAGE!!ONE111!!.

If you aren't the driver and you have the extra armor spec does it apply to the vehicle or does only the driver's specs count?

I don't know what you mean by spec count but say if you're in an APC and you're one of the side gunners, the armor perk applies to the apc armor or the lower reloading time perk applies to everyone firing and so on and so on.

Yes if one person has it, everyone in the vehicle gets it.

Well, what you are saying is the simple version of what DICE told us. So, I can't fault you for that.

But, FAQ to the rescue: Here's a later note with more detail from Demize99 on the EA UK forums:

Only the Armor and Vehicle Motion Sensor are shared for everyone in the vehicle. Specializations that modify your weapon systems are personal and selfish. 😛

I believe what this means is, Armor and Vehicle Motion Sensor are the only specs that passengers can add to the mix. If a passenger has alt-fire, or smoke, it doesn't add to the vehicle.
I can personally attest, I had the smoke spec, and I couldn't fire it as a passenger in the APC, I had to move to the drivers seat to fire it off. And I don't think the driver could fire it off either.

Oh ok that clears it up better for all of us then

Everything unlocked. Only lvl 22.

Kinda lame, I really like having a goal to work towards.

You may have the points to unlock each individual piece, but aren't there items that have a rank requirement higher than 22? Into the 30s for some stuff? So you can't use those yet, right?

Oh, can someone explain EXACTLY how the hellfire on the choppers works? Dumb-firing doesn't seem to achieve anything and firing toward a tracer dart (be it from an engi or your copilot) is inconsistent at best. I've never noticed any visual queues that a lock is ever attained either. It would be nice to know, because that missile is a beast and one-shots tanks. =/

I think the G3 is the last at 22 or 23. Unless you only play one or two classes, you should have enough points to have unlocked all the class specific weapons. I think when I got the G3 I had the last medic gun to get because I haven't been a medic in a long time.

Question about the tracer dart. I finally started using it (at level 26 lol) and it works well, but I noticed sometimes when I plant the tracer a second or two later the targeting square goes away. Is there something the tank driver or an engineer is doing to remove it?

Speaking of the tracer dart, anyone else noticed that annoying bug where sometimes when you switch to it you don't have a crosshair? That's really freaking annoying.

I'm just about to crack rank 22, but there are a bunch of Recon weapons I don't have because I just haven't played it. Just recently unlocked the second sniper rifle.

There is a vehicle smoke spec that removes tracer darts. Maybe you are on a hardcore server?

Haven't noticed that bug since the beta.

Ahhh, I forgot about that spec. That probably explains it. It wasn't a hardcore server, and tonight was really the first time I used it. 3/4 of the time the dart worked as expected, but sometimes I would get points for hitting the target with the dart and then the aiming square would just go away. They probably got tired of me blowing up their tanks! hahaha

ok what does the recon sensor do exactly ? and how do I use it ? I think I just unlocked it.

wondering the same thing...i read the post about racking up points with it, but it didn't seem to do much for me. i threw them in high traffic areas and got points maybe 3 times.

i believe it's # 4 on the recon kit, you throw it like a grenade. not exactly sure what it does. I think it might automatically spot and enemy or something?

tonight was the first night that I also noticed spotting kills. I would spot an enemy and someone else would kill him, but i'd get 20 points for spotting him out.

I think he's talking about the sensor that looks like it goes on your scope. The sensor nade thingy is easy to rack points up with. Just throw them on an mconn or flag and you get tons of points.
