The Art Of Unix Programming, still apply in 2018?

OK I've reading this book in PDF format about the history of UNIX and C programing and why the UNIX design came about.

So far I'm finding this to be a nice read but I have to wonder how much this book still apply in 2018 since it was written in 2003?

Anyway at least I'm learning more about Unix...

I would consider it foundationial C is still very much used, and would be helpful if you like linux kernel. Also the methods used, and how to program can be transferred to other languages.

Anything that builds on your knowledge can be a good thing, and you never know when you will be grateful for that foundation.
