The art of parallel parking.

First time I had to parallel park my truck (picture). Granted, it's not the tightest space ever, but I did get within 4 inches of the curb w/o hitting it. It's wierd parking that thing, cause you feel like you're still in the middle of the street even when you're only 3 inches from the curb because it's so wide.

I don't understand people who need like 15 passes to parallel park, especially if they have a normal sized car. I have a Tundra and it never takes me more than 2 passes to squeeze into a tight spot. I usually can get from street to parallel parked in < 20 seconds.

Many people fear parallel parking, but I think I'm quite good at all sorts of parking. I can squeeze in just about anywhere 🙂

I trust my parking, not everyone elses. Car over a few years on the street get many interesting bumps on those bumpers.

I love parallel parking 😀 So easy 😀

I have trouble "zooming" in to a spot though (parking front first or reverse parallel parking ) 🙁

Cheers,

Anybody ever seen the video of that old dude parallel parking between two really expensive cars... at like 65mph? lol

I don't have a problem with parallel parking as long as the space is big enough. I don't think it's worth squeezing in, because you're just asking for bumps when the people next to you try to squeeze out.

i've been living in the apartments around ucla, with no parking space but with a car for 2 years.

i can do it with about half a foot on each end of my car. that might take a few passes to do, it just takes practice, it really isnt that hard if you know your car.
