Considering they are as readily available as hookers on 5th and 86th street in Brooklyn at 1 AM, I am gonna say no on this one.

I don't see why you couldn't sell it, but finding a buyer might be tricky.

His(if I am not mistaken) isnt the 500 hours free or whatever, it is the free 6 months you get when you buy a Dell or Gateway.

He's talking about the 6 months free unlimited CD (It's supposed to be like $140 value) that comes with a dell system.
Not the spam-me-twice-a-month-500-hours-in-1-month-that-doesn't-carry-over free CD.

I sold mine in FS/FT for $35 shipped. A few others have done so as well.
Later I found out that they're all over ebay for $15 - $20 each.

a friend of mine was doing the 1 month unlimited hours trial, and every month when he called to cancel they would just say to keep it for an extra month, he ended up getting it for free for almost a year.

You're talking about AOL by Dellnet. I got the MSN by Dellnet with my notebook.

I don't think it is transferrable. MSN required that I show them my proof of purchasing a Dell computer before they would give me anything longer than a month . . . actually, I ended up with 8 months of free dialup (which is fine since I can't get broadband anyway).

I also got a free AOL 6 month CD when Dell sent me my XP upgrade . . . however (besides not wanting to be dishonest), you couldn't pay me to put AOhell on my computer. :)

I sold mine at the FS/FT forums for $40 and I've seen people selling it for higher. Whether they sold theirs or not is another story. You can also ebay it! :)

I sold mine as well. Don't expect much $ for it; AOL has such a poor reputation these days that few people seem to want to buy it.

I take it you didn't see the thread that MacBaine got that from.

Btw, good one MacBaine.
