This guy has got to be related to Charles O'Connor who was put up by the Bourbon Democrats the election cycle before Tilden was robbed.

I think this is a good idea, because libertarians infiltrating the Republican Party turned out to be a failure. So if infiltrating the Party of Lincoln didn't work, then it would work to go back to the party that was founded by Martin Van Buren, right?

I've also thought that it is much easier to convert progressives to Dr. Paul ideas than it is to convert Republicans.

There is no way that many progressives will ever be converted to a racist like Ron Paul. Moreover, there's no way that many progressives would even think that Paul's anti-civil liberties positions are very appealing.

Ron Paul and his ideas are better in the GOP since his platform is more similar to conservatives of the segregation days.

I actually think his ideas are more like the democrats of the civil war days...they demanded slavery as a power of states rights, after all...and wanted to remove the fed gov completely.

Yeah, he's very conservative and his message fits in well with the people who wanted slavery and such.

Shouldn't you be spending your time volunteering on Ron Paul's campaign instead of posting here?

Funny thing is I bet you aren't doing anything to support Ron Paul where you live.

Good point.

I've been invited to but I haven't gotten to it yet, other than donating money. I'm part of the campaign.

That's true as the Republican Party just hasn't ever been very libertarian. Dr. Paul doesn't favor slavery, but he does believe all policy should be decentralized just as I do.

Dr. Paul is actually Bourbon Democrat, not a Republican. His favorite President is Grover Cleveland, if I'm not mistaken.

I think you personally and our nation as a whole would derive far more benefit if you were to put that money toward furthering your own education than toward promoting the candidacy of any office seeker. Likewise with your time.
