Can the smoke be turned off (in my settings) for the avril? I can't see where I am shooting. I have all settings on max.

It's there as a "gotcha"... just like the refined sniper rifle. All you really have to do is strafe a small tad to either side while still locked on to your target and you'll be clear of the smoke in view.

Heh of course. Developers put it in there so each weapon has a weakness (not to mention is pretty slow moving also). The target is able to see where you shot the AVRiL from... how many times have you been in a tank or Raptor trying to determine where the thing is coming so you can take them out ? Only the smoke helps you find them and only then do you have a fighting chance also.

Anyone else up for a game now ?

a quick request:

is there way to make map resets after 1 play? that way, not one map can be played consecutively, but allowed every other time? that case, it would allow us to select the map that we'd like to play :)

anyone hear anything bad about using the no-cd patch from GCW ? I'm so tired of sticking the cd in every time.

Nothing that I'm aware of. One of the guys at the atari forum is using it and ran a packet sniffer while playing online with it and didn't see anything suspiscious.

I think it'll only be successful if you plan out times... schedule them weekly or something. People will make time... instead of popping by only when they have free time... that won't work.
