Time just released an AI series on the American Revolution. Thoughts:

1. Pretty good but there is still a smidge of Uncanny Valley there
2. Lipsync is still meh

However:

1. The latest AI tools are helping to solve this
2. This democratizes filmmaking, which will allow more creative storytellers into the filmmaking scene...there are no excuses for creating ANYTHING you want now!!

OTOH, I don't know how I feel about this:

1. I love stuff like Toy Story
2. I'm VERY excited to see what amazing creations people will do with this technology
3. ...but will it ever have the spark of a real performance?

We have motion capture, sure. And stuff like Polar Express, I guess. Will be interesting to see where this goes!

Seedream 4.5 is incredible at photography replication. You just can't tell what's real & what isn't anymore:

This would have taken me a WEEK using CGI by hand lol. Seedream 4.5:

Again, there are no more excuses...anyone can create ANYTHING they want, right now, TODAY!!

* Images (photos, CGI, graphic design, illustration, art in any medium & any style, GUI's, interior design, etc.)
* Videos (creation & editing)
* Writing
* Sound (sound effects, singing vocals, narration, music, soundtracks, etc.)
* Video games
* Programs
* Websites

My buddy has a ~3-hour daily commute & just got Grok integration. Politics side, this is some crazy Knight Rider-level stuff right here! Conversational direction & re-routing in action:

That's pretty crazy. Regular navigation is one thing but this is actually checking stuff like store hours etc. Wonder if it also has knowledge of real time events like if there's an accident or construction and gives you a better route.

Google Maps pulls Internet data as well as anonymous data from user's phones to aggregate city traffic congestion & whatnot. Tesla cars will eventually move off cellular data & on to Starlink satellite Internet. The big picture would be:

1. Worldwide satellite Internet for voice & data
2. Self-driving cars
3. Optimus home & work robots
4. xAI across all devices for assistance
5. Megapack & Powerwall batteries with solar panels & solar roofs

Scary, but cool! Very neat to see that car video above with voice commands, interruptions, real-time data, etc.

Gemini AI sucks - but Google maps without AI has been telling you if a store is closed or you are getting close to closing hours by the time you'd reach your destination for years now.

Yeah I’ve messed around with some of that stuff and it’s kinda wild how good it’s getting. The Adobe voice cleanup especially feels like cheating lol. Definitely more tool than takeover though, at least for now.
