I need an AI to manage the AI thread (@Kaido), any suggestions? 😉
Not bad but no collision avoidance. She runs through someone’s legs and through a vegetable stand.
In an attempt to hate LLMs less, I've been running projects past them, and they're doing... okay. I've noticed that Gemini has become very folksy, even when I start a new instance. "Well, it's getting late here in <location>. Good time to wind down for the day and have a long think about the project".
No idea where that came from. Must have started training it on midwestern TV from the 1950s or something.
Be careful...Two parts:
1. AI is a force multiplier, not the magic it is being pedaled to be
2. It is typically about 80% good, which is a HUGE help for writing, programming, art, etc. Still needs lot of specific direction, iteration, and massaging for most everything tho
From https://metr.org/blog/2025-07-10-early-2025-ai-experienced-os-dev-study/Despite $30–40 billion in enterprise investment into GenAI, this report uncovers a surprising
result in that 95% of organizations are getting zero return.
From https://metr.org/blog/2025-07-10-early-2025-ai-experienced-os-dev-study/We conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to understand how early-2025 AI tools affect the productivity of experienced open-source developers working on their own repositories. Surprisingly, we find that when developers use AI tools, they take 19% longer than without—AI makes them slower.
FWIW it's been game-changing for me! Firebase Studio is totally bonkers:
And Opal as a layman's n8n:
Also VibeSDK by Cloudflare:
Droids work with any LLM, in any IDE, in local or remote, and in any interface:
Just constant game-changing, life-altering, mind-blowing stuff happening 24/7!!
