One option is to develop processors that are a better match to the sort of computational needs of neural networks, which require many trips to memory and a lot of communication between artificial neurons that might not necessarily reside on the same processor. Termed "neuromorphic" processors, this alternative approach to hardware tends to have lots of small, dedicated processing units with their own memory and an extensive internal network connecting them.
Examples like Intel's Loihi chips tend to get competitive performance out of far lower clock speeds and energy use, but they require a lot of silicon to do so. Other options give up on silicon entirely and perform the relevant computation in a form of phase change memory.
A paper published in Nature on Wednesday describes a way to get plain-old silicon transistors to behave a lot like an actual neuron. And unlike the dedicated processors made so far, it only requires two transistors to do so.

I have played around with cursor some and while impressive there is clear limitations that is inherent to the current crop of llm's... and when you get to 80-90% of the way to your destination you reach diminishing results.. So you need to know when to take over and have the actual skills to take over... But it will certainly super charge developers.

I saw a video that compared AI tools to Ridley's loader suit...it's not a magic end-all, be-all solution, but rather, an enhancement tool.
I rely on AI as much as Office these days. Super effective for so many things that would take a lot of tedious effort otherwise!

1. Google for ranked searches
2. Perplexity when I want to know the story on something quickly

2. Gaussian 3d splatting for full-body rendering. Generate avatars or upload a photo of yourself for 3D generation.
3. AI-driven avatars (they should have used Sesame!)
4. Speech-to-speech prompting interface (i.e. talk to it). Pick your language & add real-time lip-sync.

It's crazy being able to make a crude drawing then seeing what it comes up with. First pic is what I drew and one next to it is what it came up with.
Experimented with more specific stuff to see how it could interpret it, did not quite go as planned but still neat to see what it came up with.
This one turned kind of cool. I like the subtle twin towers in there lol.
