The add banners getting out of control....

Does Anandtach have any quality/aesthetics standards for the banner adds? Some of them are awful. The flashing "Win a 42" plasma TV" makes me sick.

Teehehe, am I the only one who doesn't mind the banners? I seriously don't even notice them! (This could be because I'm running my desktop at 1600x1200 )

I only run 1024 (could do 1280 but don't want to) and I don't mind the banners at all... I used to mind them, when I was using my P83, because it would lag up the browser so much when it had to load it. In which case I would just use Webwasher to get rid of that.

I usually don't care either, but this particular one almost made me puke. I had to quickly reload the page and it was gone, but it was soo awful. The kind of cheezy, blinking crap you see on XXX/warez sites

i run 800x600 (17" moniter) and i don't notice them at all. then again, i have been on the internet since i was 10(5 years) and i guess i've just grown accustom to them

I've been around for even longer than that, and Im not used to them, but I guess thats cause they were'nnt around at that time.
Back then it was rare to even see a pic, not so colorful, but oh so informative the net was back then

If enough people complain, an ad supplier is usually removed. But the last time that happened, a blinking ad appeared almost every time.:Q
