Mmmm... 7 out of 12 are in the top 25. This weekend should shake things up a bit, and show who's really got the power, though. Especially after we pwn Miami at 3:30 Saturday 😉

I hope so. The Cuse defense has looked much better this season though the offense has looked absolutely woeful. Gonna need to get a TD or 2 from the defense to get a win.....though playing in the Dome is one hell of a home field advantage. Any chance this game is nationally televised? Since I moved out to the midwest, I can't catch Cuse games on Time Warner Sports anymore 🙁

OMG the game against VT was embarassing. Luckily I slept through the whole thing. From what I hear wallace wade was full of VT fans

Soccer55, you a 'cuse fan?? the SU game is on national TV. I believe it's on ESPN2 at noon eastern.

I am a big time Cuse fan. I'm originally from Syracuse and actually got my masters at SU, but I recently moved out to Big Ten country (Illinois). I miss being able to go to games at the Dome and sit in the student section. Especially when they pack 50,000 in the Dome for a big football game or 30,000+ for a big time hoops game (see: ND last year). I figured that I wouldn't get to see much of SU out here except for box scores, so I can't wait to watch Cuse-Virginia this weekend. Go Cuse!

Duke doesn't belong in the ACC in football. They are downright terrible at it. Private school though, that is too be expected.

There are 2 reasons why they're in the ACC for football:
1) The ACC is a total membership conference. If you want in for one sport, you gotta be in for all of them. (Unlike the Big East where ND is in for basketball but Independent for football)
2) Duke gives them 12 teams in the conference. 12 teams = televised conference championship game = more $

And every conference has a team that is bad at a sport. Illinois is awesome for Big Ten basketball but they are pretty bad at football.

Duke actually won the ACC in football once, before teams like FSU, UM, VT, and BC joined the conference. FSU joined because of the basketball revenues.

Hey, Illinois football isn't looking all that bad this year and the basketball team lost a few players from last year, so who knows. I just want to know why Bruce Weber is ducking my Orangemen. Probably because he's scared of the Cuse 😀

actually dooook has and always will be in the acc. the 12 team super conference came about when the acc raided the big east and took miami, VT, and BC with them. The big east would love for ND to join in football, but their AD is in bed with NBC. As they say money talks and BS walks...

regadless it's funny how everyone down in acc land thinks their so great when their 3 biggest contenders in football are all transplants from the big east bwaaaahaaahaaa!!
don't even get me started on basketball.... you ACC fans crack me up!

anywho- soccer55 nice to meet a fellow Orange fan on the board! where about's in the midwest you live?

Yea, I know Duke has always been there, but they're guaranteed to stay there because of basketball. The Big East has been after ND for football for forever.....or at least it has seemed like it. ACC basketball has some solid additions in Miami and VT.....but hey, they got their football conference championship game.

Illinois isn't even in the same class as Duke when it comes to football. The Illini would wip the floor with Duke. Heck, Duke's stadium only holds 33k. That is downright pathetic for a BCS conference school. They don't belong in the ACC in football, period. In the last 5 seasons, they've won 8 games. Pathetic.
