No it's just retarded old people are the ones who vote for that crap. People like Gary Oldman will never win since he never does those old people movies but is a better actor than most of those people that ever get nominated

Gary Oldman is great in everything I've seen, but he's not really a typical leading man so he won't get an oscar. He will have to play a disabled guy or do a holocaust movie to get awards.

Why aren't there any awards shows like this for doctors, relief workers or scientific discovery? Now I would watch that!

I think I'm the only person who didn't think Social Network was all that amazing. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't best picture material in my eyes.

no you aren't, the movie was enjoyable but no where near BP worthy, I think it only got nominated as a bad attempt to get young people to watch

They do have awards ceremonies for most industries. I think my employer wins "best specialist packaging manufacturer" every year. The only difference is they don't show the awards on TV because there's no famous people involved.

...there was a movie that was posted about him in this forum a while ago i watched the trailer but never got around to renting it. the trailer had him as a hit man or something going through a apartment complex blasting people with a shotgun.. anybody know what movie that is?

He was a corrupt DEA agent in Leon, aka the Professional. Also known for Natalie Portman's breakthrough role.
