I watched this the other night and given the source material this was better than I thought. It was over the top ridiculous but at least it didn't really pretend to be anything else. The new mister T wisely didn't focus on directly aping the mannerisms of the old one, which I think would have been a train wreck of stupid. I rate it a meh+ I guess, I mean it did have Jessica Biel in it but the plot was (perhaps necessarily) stupid.

But the best part of the movie was Patrick Wilson's performance as the antagonist. He was fucking hilarious.

It took me about 30 minutes to finally realize the movie was intended to be that bad. =/

I enjoyed it, didn't really get the hate. Were people expecting Gone With the Wind?

One part that almost pushed my suspension of disbelief was where
a single RPG hit sunk that freighter
. Other than that it was decent action fare.

It was a good action flick. And that's all it was meant to be. So I give it say 7/10 with that in mind.

I was thinking the same, expected it to be pretty bad but it was entertaining enough for a single viewing, as long as you didn't pay theatre price or do something asinine and buy the damn thing.

I really really enjoyed the film for what it was. I went in expecting to be a ridiculous popcorn flick, and I left thoroughly satisfied. I doubt they'll make a sequel though :(. I wish they will.
